Artika Aurora Bakshi is a writer and editor based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, whose work is rooted in Sikhism and her Panjabi heritage. Best known for her children’s books, she also writes short stories and feature articles, exploring subjects that connect literature, culture and contemporary life.

Her wider interests include Sikh studies, Panjab heritage, current affairs and the role of storytelling in preserving cultural knowledge. Through her writing, Artika seeks to present history, identity and tradition in forms that are thoughtful, accessible and engaging for readers across generations. She is currently developing her next children’s book alongside a research based project exploring Sikhism.
