Harmanjit Kaur is a writer, policy professional and Panjabi teacher based in London. She studied History at the School of Oriental and African Studies before completing a Master’s degree in Creative Writing.

Her interests centre on the experiences of Sikhs in the diaspora, the preservation of the Panjabi language and the importance of stories that offer authentic cultural representation. Through her teaching, she is particularly interested in adapting and improving the ways Panjabi is taught to future generations of British Sikhs.

Harmanjit views creative writing as a means of processing and expressing thoughts, feelings and lived experience. Alongside her professional and creative work, she enjoys stories of every kind, travelling and finding good coffee. She lives in London with her husband.
