Inderjeet Singh Chawla is an independent scholar, author and cultural historian based in New Delhi, India. Following a thirty-five-year career in international trade, he now devotes himself to full-time interdisciplinary research and long-form writing. His work explores Sikh intellectual history, civilisational analysis, Indo-Persian literary traditions, comparative religion, feminist theology and sacred love across Sikh, Sufi and Persian traditions. He is the author of Bhai Nand Lal Goya: Biography and Sikhism and Secularism: A Compass for the New World. His current research includes The Unwritten Canon, a study of civilisational restraint in Sikh thought, and The Sikh Feminine: The Primal Promise, an exploration of gender equality within Sikh theology and history.
